Essential Responsibilities:
- Interface with business unit engineering to define fully, products and processes being introduced to the manufacturing area.
- Manage samples to establish processing parameters and workstation activities including work instructions for new products and engineering changes.
- Support process improvement and cost down engineering activities.
- Work with the manufacturing organization to improve current processes to maximize employee utilization.
- Improve process documentation to achieve production capable processes that the manufacturing organization can utilize on a daily basis to achieve efficient operation.
- Provide tools to produce parts effectively while meeting customer and Mack criteria.
- Work in a team oriented fashion to help troubleshoot and achieve increased efficiencies within the manufacturing operation.
- Bring an increased technical perspective to process management throughout the organization.
- Maintain documentation to meet the needs of personnel, process, instruction, and cost.
- Research new processes, techniques, and equipment.
- Perform capability studies as needed.
- Maintain ISO compliance through use and understanding of Mack ISO policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties necessitated by change or condition.
- Follow safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain Mack's standard of housekeeping in all areas.
Job Qualifications/License/Education/
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years combined experience in quality assurance and manufacturing engineering. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Computer skills as necessary.
Unusual
Working Conditions:
Exposure in-plant to temperatures between 50F and 110F and plant odors from plastic and paint processing.
