Position Overview
Under the direction of a supervisor or team leader, the Production Operator is responsible for accurately dispensing, weighing, labeling, and documenting raw materials to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures materials are staged according to batch records and GMP standards while maintaining clean, organized work areas. The position also supports material handling, stock replenishment, process monitoring, and training of new team members to maintain efficient and compliant production workflows.
Pay: $18.50/hour Shift: Monday-Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
ResponsibilitiesSpecific Responsibilities
- Dispenses raw materials per formula independently as well as within a team environment
- Follow specific batch record and work instructions and ensure all labels match with batch records
- Debag and weigh raw materials into plastic containers
- Label and stage weighed materials in assigned locations
- Document processes per formula and SOPs requirements
- Load and unload raw materials
- Accurately and efficiently weigh all RMs per batch record instructions
- Monitor pharmacy process periodically and report any abnormal conditions to the manager
- Maintain replenishment of stock rooms daily
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
- Perform all cleaning duties as required
- Train new employees as needed

Education, Experience, and Licenses
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to perform basic computer transactions, including data entry and use of manufacturing or inventory systems.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow simple written instructions, batch records, SOPs, and short correspondence in English, and to complete basic written documentation.
- Ability to accurately communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings with production, quality, and supervisory personnel.
- Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals to perform material weighing, calculations, and conversions.
- Ability to follow detailed but routine written and oral instructions in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Ability to identify and resolve routine weighing or material handling issues involving a limited number of variables in standardized manufacturing situations.
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all job-related tasks.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, ingredients, and containers weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to perform repetitive motions, including scooping, pouring, and weighing ingredients with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and twist as required to handle materials and operate weighing equipment.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for precise weighing, labeling, and documentation tasks.
- Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment that may require exposure to temperature variations, food allergens, and sanitation chemicals while following food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for precise weighing, labeling, documentation, and equipment operation while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
