Position: Paint Line Operator (3rd shift)
Location: Westminster

Paint Line Operator

Horton, Inc., has an opening for a Paint Line Operator to work in our Westminster, SC location. This is a 3rd shift position and standard hours are 9:30 pm - 7:30 am Sunday-Wednesday. Overtime will be required, as needed. Pay starts at $19.90 per hour and depends on experience.

This Paint Line Operator position reports directly to the Manager and must work in coordination with co-workers to be effective. This position is primarily responsible for loading and unloading the paint line. A forklift license may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

This Paint Line Operator position is responsible for:

  • Performing daily tasks.
  • Reading and following instructions on routings and work instructions for each job.
  • Checking stock bins for adequate supplies of packing materials and any other items needed.
  • Completing all departmental paperwork, such as routings, assembly tickets, downtime tracking sheets, production status sheets and daily checklists.
  • Painting product and assembling packaging as instructed on work instructions or routings.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of machinery used to paint assemblies and sub-components.
  • Performing frequent quality checks as directed by management or a Quality Representative.
  • Relaying all information about current job to oncoming shift.
  • Maintaining production rate on each job.
  • Turning on/shutting down machines within their assigned area.
  • Loading and unloading paint line.
  • Assembling cardboard packaging per routing sheet.
  • Packing fan assemblies per customer requirements on the routing sheet.
  • Ensuring data accuracy before transacting in inventory system.
  • Filling in as Operator in other departments as directed/rotated.
  • Training new operators when assigned.
  • Practicing 6S and always maintaining clean and safe work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

This Paint Line Operator position requires:

  • A high school diploma, or equivalent (GED), is required.
  • Previous relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Ability to work well in a group and individually.
  • Some degree of mechanical aptitude may be required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. No Visa sponsorship provided now or in the future for this position.
