Description

Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Company is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor
- Weekend Shift to lead and coordinate production operations within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for supervising production employees, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer service objectives are achieved, while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership, support lean manufacturing principles, and collaborate across departments to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing operations.

The shift hours are Friday-Monday, 7 a.m.

- 5 p.m.

How You Will Help
  • Provide daily supervision, leadership, coaching, training, and performance feedback to production employees.
  • Schedule and coordinate labor resources to meet production requirements and operational goals.
  • Review work orders and ensure production activities are completed according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Track production progress and monitor completion of required work orders.
  • Ensure daily production goals are achieved through effective management of personnel, equipment, inventory, and workflow.
  • Address employee issues as they arise and communicate necessary actions to leadership.
  • Support production equipment reliability by coordinating minor repairs and working with Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Recommend and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Promote and support Reliable Production System principles and lean manufacturing strategies.
  • Perform layered process audits and support quality assurance initiatives.
  • Develop, follow, and enforce standard leader work practices.
  • Train employees on Jidoka process quality concepts and standardized work practices.
  • Partner with peer supervisors to improve safety, quality, customer service, and productivity through standardization, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by supporting the Company's 5S program, conducting audits, and training employees on 5S standards.
  • Complete and maintain production documentation including production logs, TPM checklists, setup records, and quality check sheets.
  • Lead corrective action and problem‑solving activities utilizing 8D team‑based methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Planning, and Human Resources to support operational objectives.
  • Drive inventory accuracy through employee training and adherence to established standards and procedures.
  • Support compliance with industry standards, agency requirements, and certification programs.
  • Interview, hire, develop, and retain employees while supporting company hiring and development processes.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, merit reviews, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure departmental goals related to safety, quality, customer service, and productivity are achieved and sustained.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Associate degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience in machining, automation, or manual assembly environments.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, manufacturing processes, blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision measurement techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery and identify effective resolutions to equipment‑related issues.
  • Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems and drives.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, Kaizen, 5S, and standard work principles.
  • Experience interviewing, training, developing talent, and building future leaders.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills.
