The Fabricator – Class C is a developing production team member responsible for supporting fabrication activities while building foundational skills in signage manufacturing. This role demonstrates a basic understanding of fabrication techniques, safety practices, and technical documentation, while performing tasks with limited supervision and guidance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Follow all safety procedures and maintain awareness of workplace hazards
- Perform basic sheet metal fabrication tasks in support of production
- Read and interpret shop documentation and job travelers independently
- Read and work from technical drawings with guidance
- Operate fabrication equipment safely with limited supervision
- Assist in constructing basic sign types according to specifications
- Utilize MIG welding for light aluminum fabrication
- Fabricate simple plastic parts with assistance as required
- Assist with installation of ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) onto structures
- Support accurate material tracking and transactions within the MES system with guidance
- Inspect work to ensure it meets quality and production standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with 5S standards
- Basic understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques
- Ability to read and follow shop documentation and work instructions
- Developing ability to interpret technical drawings
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and equipment
- Basic MIG welding experience (light aluminum preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Understanding of workplace safety practices
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow direction
- Willingness to learn and develop within a manufacturing setting

- Occasionally required to stand, walk, or move throughout a production or fabrication facility.
- Ability to lift and handle materials or samples weighing up to 25 lbs.
