Sanitation Technician

As a Sanitation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across our production facilities. You will clean and sanitize equipment, floors, and work spaces, ensuring compliance with quality standards. This role involves operating sanitation equipment and assisting production operators with machine breakdowns and reassembly.

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, manufacturing areas, and work spaces according to company standards.
• Operate sanitation equipment such as pressure washers, foamers, and floor machines.
• Perform line clearances before and after production runs.
• Assist production operators with cleaning, machine breakdown, and equipment reassembly.
• Ensure sanitation procedures meet strict quality and compliance standards.
• Participate in structured certification and credentialing programs to advance sanitation skills.
• Support multiple departments through cross-training and assignment flexibility.

• Experience cleaning manufacturing equipment, production lines, and work areas.
• Comfortable operating sanitation equipment such as high-pressure washers and foamers.
• Understanding of safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
• Ability to perform detailed cleaning to prevent contamination.
• Willingness to learn multiple production areas and assist operators.
• Ability to follow written procedures and complete tasks efficiently.
• Reliable work ethic with the ability to work extended shifts and overtime.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as business demands require.
• Comfortable working around ingredients derived from nuts, soy, dairy, fish, and shellfish.
• Ability to wear half-mask and full-face respirators for extended periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment cleaning and assembly tasks.

The work environment includes both day and night shifts (5:00am-5:30pm and 5:00pm-5:30am) with mandatory Saturday work and one weekday off. The role involves moderate noise levels from production equipment and requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing ladders. Repetitive lifting and material handling are frequent. PPE is mandatory, including respirators in certain production areas. Work may take place in enclosed rooms for extended periods, and overtime is standard to meet production demands.

This is a permanent position based out of Summerville, SC.

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $44200.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
