Turn
90 is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Print Shop Production Lead to join our screen printing operation in Columbia.
Screen-printing experience is not required. We will train the right person.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing things correctly, enjoys working with their hands, can learn technical equipment and processes, and wants to grow into greater responsibility over time.
The Production Lead is a hands-on position. This person will learn all aspects of screen-printing production and ultimately become responsible for making sure customer orders are produced correctly, efficiently, and to Turn
90’s quality standards.
The Production Lead works alongside a Production Assistant and reports to Turn
90’s Director of Operations. This is a lead production role, not a personnel-management position.
- Set up and operate screen-printing equipment
- Prepare, burn, wash out, and reclaim screens
- Set up and register jobs on the press
- Select, prepare, and mix inks, including custom colors
- Review job specifications before beginning production
- Verify garments, artwork, colors, placement, quantities, and other production instructions
- Produce test prints and inspect the first piece before beginning a full production run
- Print customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Monitor registration, ink coverage, placement, and print quality throughout production
- Ensure garments are properly cured
- Identify problems and stop production before errors become larger production runs
- Track misprints and production issues
- Perform final quality-control checks
- Receive, count, and stage garments for upcoming jobs
- Fold, count, pack, and prepare completed orders as needed
- Maintain inks, screens, and production supplies
- Keep the production floor, press, screen room, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
- Clean presses, screens, tools, squeegees, and other equipment after jobs
- Sweep, mop, empty trash, break down boxes, and maintain an orderly shop
- Perform preventive maintenance and identify equipment problems
- Help coordinate the daily work on the production floor
- Work closely with Turn
90’s operations team to keep orders on schedule - Learn and consistently follow Turn
90’s production procedures and quality-control checklists
This is a hands-on production job. Cleaning equipment, reclaiming screens, handling ink, moving boxes, packing shirts, sweeping, and maintaining an organized shop are all part of the position.

- Organized. You can keep materials, equipment, and multiple jobs straight.
- A team player. You’re comfortable working closely with another production employee and coordinating with our operations team.
- Comfortable taking the lead on the production floor. As you become fully trained, you will be expected to help coordinate the day’s production work and make sure jobs are completed correctly.
- Comfortable with physical work. This position requires standing for extended periods, working around production equipment, handling garments and supplies, and performing regular shop cleaning and organization.
Previous screen-printing experience is welcome but not required.
