Performs a variety of Metal Fabrication and assembles structural metal products, such as framework for machinery, tanks, stacks, and metal parts for buildings and bridges according to job order, verbal instructions, and blueprints:
Develops layout and plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances for thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and physical properties of metal.

• Verifies conformance of workpieceto specifications, using square, ruler, and measuring tape.

• 2 – 3 years of trade training and high school

• A minimum of three - fiveyearspractical experience is required.

• Education or Experience

• Associates Degree(AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.

• Must have expert knowledge of Weld Symbols and Weld Positions used in production.

• Must be able to read and understand detailed drawings and welding procedures/specifications.

• Must have experience using standard measuring tool

• Understanding of Print tolerances

• Basic computer knowledge is required:
  Accessand Excel.

• Ability to effectively plan and organize

• Work is performed in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.

• Requires standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

• Work schedule and shift assignment may vary based on operational needs.

• Overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required as business demands dictate.
