Position: Equipment Operator I
Location: Westminster

Sandvik Coromant In Westminster, SC Is Looking For A Machine Operator I (MPL) Build Your Career with a Global Manufacturing Leader Sandvik Coromant is looking for a dependable, safety-focused Machine Operator I to join our manufacturing team in Westminster, South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands‑on work, operating advanced manufacturing equipment, and contributing to the production of high-quality cutting tool solutions used around the world.

As a Machine Operator I, you will play an important role in supporting production operations by operating equipment, monitoring product quality, maintaining a safe work environment, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate assigned production machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety standards.
  • Monitoring machine performance and production output to ensure quality and efficiency targets are met.
  • Perform routine inspections and make basic machine adjustments as required.
  • Load and unload materials, components, and finished products.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional quality inspections and accurately record production data.
  • Follow standardized work instructions, operating procedures, and production schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S principles and company standards.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process concerns, or quality issues to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
  • Work cooperatively with team members, production leaders, engineers, and support departments.
  • Support cross‑training efforts and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and follow established procedures.
  • Basic math, reading, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety guidelines, and production documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Requires current authorization to work in the United States.
  • Sandvik cannot provide employment‑based visa sponsorship for this role, now or in the future.
  • This role is based on site in Westminster, SC.
  • Remote or international work arrangements are not available.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
Preferred
  • Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience.
  • Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection processes.
