Position Summary:

The Production Operator Level 1 is responsible for running and monitoring equipment used in the manufacturing of elastomeric insulation materials. The ideal candidate has previous experience in rubber or plastics manufacturing and is committed to safety, quality, and efficiency on the plant floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate manufacturing equipment according to standard operating procedures.

Monitor product quality and make minor adjustments to equipment as needed.

Follow batch recipes, material handling procedures, and production schedules.

Perform routine checks on equipment and notify maintenance or supervisors of issues.

Accurately record production data, downtime, and material usage.

Ensure work area is clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety standards.

Assist in material changeovers, line startups, and shutdowns.

Handle raw materials and finished goods safely and efficiently.

Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives across the production line.

Follow safety protocols, wear required PPE and report any incidents immediately.

Required Qualifications:

1–3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant.

Prior experience in rubber, plastics, or extrusion manufacturing strongly preferred.

Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety rules, and production documents.

Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to stand, lift, bend, and move materials throughout the shift.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with rubber compounding, kneading, milling, or foam extrusion processes.

Familiarity with basic quality checks (e.g., density, thickness, visual inspection).Forklift certification is a plus.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Work Conditions:

Full-time, 1st Shift (Monday to Friday; occasional overtime or weekends as required).Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, rubber materials, and moving machinery.

Must be able to wear PPE, lift up to 50 lbs, and work on foot for extended periods.
