Boiler Tube Company of America (BTA) is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Welder to join our dedicated team. We specialize in providing exceptional solutions for boiler pressure part replacements, ensuring that our clients experience minimal downtime through our quick and efficient services. With over a century of experience and a reputation for quality, we take pride in our ASME-certified fabrication shop located in Lyman, SC, and our specialty tubing shop in Wellford, SC.

Our commitment to producing high-quality components for various types of boilers shapes our collaborative and fast-paced work environment. As a Welder at BTA, you will have the opportunity to work on critical components including tube replacements, headers, superheaters, economizers, and more. Key Responsibilities
  • Execute welding operations on boiler pressure parts and components using a variety of welding methods.
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints and technical specifications to determine appropriate welding processes.
  • Maintain adherence to safety standards and quality protocols during all phases of welding.
  • Inspect and assess welds against established quality standards to ensure compliance.
  • Manage and maintain welding machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely project completion and uphold workplace efficiency.
  • Proactively address and troubleshoot any welding challenges that arise during production.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding certification program is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in welding metals, with a focus on pressure part fabrication.
  • Knowledge of applicable ASME codes and welding standards.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on quality workmanship.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including overtime as necessary to meet production schedules.
