Job Summary
The Ribbon Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining ribbon production machinery to manufacture high-quality textile ribbons. This role ensures efficient production, adherence to specifications, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Set up ribbon weaving, knitting, or cutting machines according to production specifications
- Operate machines to produce ribbons of various widths, colors, and materials
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality
- Inspect ribbons for defects such as uneven edges, color inconsistencies, or pattern errors
- Measure and verify ribbon dimensions to ensure compliance with specifications
- Replace spools, threads, and materials as needed during production
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major problems to maintenance
- Maintain accurate production records and logs
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in textile manufacturing or machine operation is a plus
- Ability to read and understand work orders and production specifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
- Machine operation and monitoring
- Quality inspection and control
