We are hiring an EHS Manager to support a growing advanced manufacturing operation in the US.
This role will take ownership of site-level environmental, health and safety activities, with a particular focus on chemical safety, specialty gases, process safety and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage day-to-day EHS programs across the manufacturing site
- Develop, implement and continuously improve site safety policies, procedures and compliance programs
- Manage safety requirements relating to hazardous chemicals, specialty gases, chemical storage, handling and distribution systems
- Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses and process safety reviews
- Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions
- Support emergency response planning, chemical spill response and site safety preparedness
- Ensure compliance with applicable US federal, state and local EHS regulations, including OSHA requirements
- Conduct site inspections, audits and employee safety training
- Work closely with engineering and facilities teams on new equipment, production lines and facility modifications
- Support contractor safety and permit-to-work processes
- Build a strong safety culture while maintaining practical alignment with manufacturing and operational requirements
- Strong EHS / Safety experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Direct hands-on experience with hazardous chemicals and specialty gases
- Experience with in semiconductor, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical / medical manufacturing, battery, electronics or another process-intensive manufacturing environment is highly relevant
- Strong knowledge of US EHS regulations (Carolina preferred)
- Experience working around chemical delivery systems, gas systems, production equipment and facility infrastructure preferred
- Able to operate both strategically and hands-on at site level
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production, engineering and senior management teams
