Step into Your Day At our Columbia, SC (29209) facility, you’ll kick off your shift by reviewing prints, staging material, and planning clean, consistent welds. You’ll move from fit-up to final inspection, balancing speed with precision while keeping safety front and center. By the time the last bead cools, your work will be a part of something durable, accurate, and ready to ship.
What You’ll DoProduce precise MIG welds on a variety of metals in line with job specifications and tolerances.
Decode blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols to plan your sequence and setup.
Build and fit metal components and subassemblies using both hand and powered fabrication tools.
Verify dimensions and weld quality, correcting variances before parts move downstream.
Keep your workstation clean, organized, and compliant with all safety procedures.
Communicate with teammates to hit daily production targets and deadlines.
Troubleshoot weld issues such as porosity, distortion, or fit-up challenges.
Engage in ongoing training to expand techniques and process knowledge.
What You’ll Bring High school diploma or equivalent; formal welding coursework or vocational training is a plus.
Hands-on MIG welding experience in a light industrial or manufacturing environment.
Sound grasp of welding processes, materials, and shop safety standards.
Ability to read and apply information from blueprints and other technical documents.
Sharp eye for detail and a strong drive for quality workmanship.
Team-first communication style with a collaborative approach on the floor.
Physical capacity to weld, move materials, and stand for extended periods.
Welding certification preferred—not required.
Core Proficiencies Accurate tape measure use and dimensional verification
