About our ChurchesTrinity and Pleasant Hill Methodist Churches are a two-church charge that serve God in our communities as a place of worship, prayer, and fellowship. We are dedicated to spiritual development and growth for ourselves and others. We are a hub for social interaction, community events, and community outreach ministries.
Position OverviewOur churches are seeking a dynamic self-motivated pastor to lead us to focus on our faith, connect with our community through service, and help transform our lives and the lives of others by serving Jesus Christ.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Planning and delivering sermons and leading worship services.
- Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to congregation members.
- Officiate weddings, funerals, and other religious ceremonies.
- Help organize community outreach and mission programs.
- Oversee religious educational programs.
- Coordinate with church staff and volunteers.
- Visit the sick and homebound members of the congregation.
- Conduct Bible study and prayer meetings.
- Developing youth programs and Bible school.
- Conducting confirmation classes.
- Shall believe the Affirmaiton of Faith.
- A person who demonstrates a committed relationship with Jesus Christ and genuine Christian character.
- One who is willing to serve, lead, equip, and energize the greater Church to fulfill the mission, ministry, and vision of the Methodist Church.
- Is currently an active participant within a Christian Church.
- A bachelor’s degree and/or an advanced degree in Theology or Divinity.
- Familiarity with Methodist Church history, doctrine, and policy is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong moral and ethical standards to serve as a role model for the congregation, living in accordance with religious teachings and principles.
- Conflict resolution skills to manage and resolve conflicts within the church community, ensuring a peaceful environment conducive to spiritual growth.
- Strong-strategic thinking, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Salary is based on education and experience.
