Our Heart for a Pastor
Kittiwake Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Senior Pastor who loves the Lord, loves people, and feels called to shepherd a church family. We are looking for a humble, approachable leader who will faithfully preach God’s Word, care for people well, and help guide our church with grace and wisdom.
- Preach and teach the Word of God with faithfulness and clarity
- Shepherd the congregation through prayer, pastoral care, and genuine relationships
- Encourage and equip members for discipleship, ministry, and service
- Lead and collaborate with church staff, ministry leaders, and deacons
- Engage the church in local outreach and global missions
Candidates must meet the biblical qualifications for a pastor or elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.
- A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Strong commitment to Scripture as the authoritative Word of God
- Formal theological training through an accredited seminary
- 5 years of pastoral ministry experience preferred, with demonstrated ability in preaching, teaching, and pastoral leadership
- Heart for shepherding and leading a diverse church family
- Alignment with beliefs expressed in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
