Youth Ministries Intern – Columbia, SC Area

Union United Methodist Church is a thriving congregation. All we do stems from and points to the grace of Jesus. Youth of Union Student Ministries falls in line with this. Youth of Union is a growing and thriving Student Ministry encompassing students in 6-12th grades. We implement Orange Strategies and a Small Group Culture.

We are looking for the right candidate to join our team as an Intern, but this position does have the possibility of becoming a permanent Part-Time position as Assistant Director for the right person.

The right candidate would be passionate about their own relationship with Jesus; also passionate about Youth Ministry and recognizing the need for young people to be part of a solid faith‑based community. This person would also possess the ability to be level‑headed and mature, while being silly and fun all at the same time! The right person will work well with others, especially students/parents/volunteers.

This person will also be teachable and eager to learn the craft of Youth Ministry Leadership, and be willing to participate in the myriad of opportunities that will become available to him/her through this position.

Some travel will be expected of this position – with all expenses paid.

This position answers directly to the Director of Youth Ministries.
