Are you passionate about empowering teens, promoting healthy relationships, and preventing teen dating violence and intimate partner violence? Sistercare is seeking a Teen Outreach Advocate to provide prevention education, community outreach, mentoring, and supportive resources for teens and families throughout the Midlands. In this hands-on role, you will help create safe, age-appropriate learning spaces where young people can recognize warning signs, build healthy relationship skills, access community support, and break cycles of violence.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver teen outreach programs focused on preventing victimization, promoting healthy relationships, and breaking cycles of violence.
- Build partnerships with schools, after-school programs, civic groups, faith-based organizations, and community partners.
- Collaborate with the Teen Outreach team to support program delivery, coverage, events, and day-to-day operations.
- Engage teens through in-person programs in schools, community settings, and partner organizations.
- Provide outreach, education, mentoring, and support to teens impacted by violence at home or intimate partner violence.
- Offer group activities, educational events, and supportive resources to help teens address the effects of exposure to violence.
- Teach teens about healthy behaviors, healthy relationships, dating violence, and intimate partner violence.
- Use interactive discussions, presentations, adult guidance, community involvement, and service learning to support prevention education.
- Serve as a liaison to community resources.
- Input direct service and collateral time into Sistercare’s client database management system according to Sistercare’s policies and procedures.
- Participate in department meetings, agency all-staff meetings, and other special agency committees.
- Attend twelve (12) hours of Victim Service Provider (VSP) approved training each year to maintain active VSP certification.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or other closely related field, plus two years of experience providing direct services with youth; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of issues of violence against youth.
- Ability to work closely with diverse populations.
- Computer knowledge, including MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to relate non-judgmentally with individuals with a wide range of problems and challenges, within a cooperative team effort, and handle emergency situations independently.
- Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed, to attend events and meetings.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and appropriate vehicle insurance.

Schedule- Monday-Thursday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
- Friday: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
Hours will vary due to events and programs on nights and weekends. Job Type: Full-time
