Do you have a passion for helping students grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and discover their purpose in Christ?
Shandon United Methodist Church is seeking a dynamic, relational, and faith-filled Director of Student Ministry to lead and grow our ministry with students in grades 7-12.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape a thriving student ministry in a historic, vibrant church community committed to discipleship, service, and belonging.
What You'll Do- Lead and cast vision for an engaging ministry for middle and high school students
- Build relationships with students and their families
- Recruit, equip, and encourage volunteer leaders
- Coordinate weekly programs, retreats, missions, camps, and special events
- Help students connect to worship, service, and the life of the church
- Partner with staff, parents, and church leaders to create a welcoming and impactful ministry
- A growing and active Christian faith
- Passion for ministry with teenagers
- Experience leading student or youth ministries
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to inspire volunteers and build meaningful relationships
- Bachelor's degree required
At Shandon UMC, you'll serve alongside a supportive staff and committed volunteers while making a lasting difference in the lives of students. You'll have opportunities to lead, innovate, and help young people develop a lifelong faith.
Ministry isn't a typical 9-to-5, and neither is this role. You'll spend your time where ministry happens: with students, families, volunteers, and church leaders through weekly programming, Sunday gatherings, retreats, missions, and special events.
