Registered Nurse (RN) – Corrections - Full-Time 3x12 – Long-Term Assignment

Cedar Park Med is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for full‑time openings in a secure correctional facility

This is a long‑term assignment with a steady 3x12 schedule
, day or night shift options
, and a structured environment where you can rely on clear protocols, strong teamwork, and consistent support.

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3x12‑hour shifts
• 13‑week assignment to start; may extend into an open‑ended/long‑term assignment.
• Every other weekend required

As an RN in this correctional setting, you play a central role in keeping care safe, consistent, and well‑coordinated in a secure environment. You’ll use strong assessment skills and sound judgment to support patients with acute and chronic needs, work closely with the onsite team, and coordinate appropriately with custody staff to ensure clear follow‑through and patient safety.

• Perform nursing assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring for acute and chronic conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and facility protocols
• Provide clinical decision‑making and elevate concerns to the appropriate level of care
• Collaborate with custody staff and the healthcare team while maintaining professional boundaries
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and consistently in the medical record
• Follow security procedures, infection control standards, and facility guidelines to maintain a safe environment

• Active South Carolina RN license
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in a correctional, prison, emergency, behavioral health, or other high‑acuity clinical setting
• Current BLS/ACLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable working in a secure correctional facility environment
• Ability to work effectively in a secure, structured environment and follow facility protocols
• Consistent, detail‑oriented approach to documentation with a strong focus on patient safety
