RN – Emergency Department

Cheraw, SC

Contract | Nights | Onsite

• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data; plan and deliver individualized, age-specific nursing care.
• Provide nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care, standards of practice, and physician-prescribed medical plans of care.
• Conduct hourly rounds in accordance with service excellence standards, fostering a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Apply standard work protocols for central lines, Foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators (as applicable), restraints, and fall-risk patients; utilize appropriate health and safety equipment.
• Contribute to department efficiency, including serving as charge nurse when assigned and precepting novice employees.
• Support department growth through participation in hospital-system initiatives, evidence-based practice development, and ongoing professional education.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in South Carolina or compact state eligibility.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Prior emergency department nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in an acute care setting.

• ACLS and/or TNCC certification.
• Experience serving in a charge nurse or preceptor role within an emergency department.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practice initiatives in an acute care or ED environment.
