Job Description
MUSC Health – Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Heart Failure ICU night team within the nationally recognized MUSC Health Heart and Vascular Division. This full‑time, night shift position offers the opportunity to provide high‑acuity inpatient care to patients with advanced and complex cardiac disease, with a primary focus on heart failure management in the ICU setting.
As an integral member of a high‑performing nocturnal care team, the APP will play a critical role in ensuring continuity, safety, and quality of care during overnight hours in a fast‑paced cardiology ICU. Responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct patient care in the ICU, inpatient units, and outpatient clinic.
- Managing and coordinating care for patients with acute and chronic heart failure.
- Evaluating new and established patients.
- Assisting with peer‑to‑peer approvals and care coordination.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centered care.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with current or eligible APRN licensure.
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current or eligible PA licensure.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a FNP, ANP, AGACNP, ACNP, or PA.
