Nurse Midwife

• Provide hospital-based obstetric care, including labor management, deliveries, and postpartum care
• Evaluate and manage patients presenting to Labor and Delivery
• Perform obstetric triage and respond to urgent maternal concerns
• Collaborate closely with OB/GYN physicians, nursing staff, and hospital personnel
• Support continuity of care for established practice patients
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in an established hospital coverage schedule, providing daytime coverage Mon-Fri
• No on call, no weekends, no nights
• Follow all practice protocols, hospital policies, and applicable professional standards

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife
• Active South Carolina APRN licensure
• Current national certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board
• Current BLS and NRP certification; additional certifications may be required by the hospital
• Hospital-based labor and delivery experience required
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage both routine and urgent obstetric situations
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient-care skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges and credentialing
