Medication Technician

Inlet Coastal Resort is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medication Technician to join our resident care team.

The Med Tech is responsible for administering medications accurately and on schedule while supporting residents' overall safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a senior-living or memory-care environment.

Qualifications
  • Current medication technician certification or required South Carolina medication-administration credentials
  • 3 years experience or more required
  • Previous assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or senior-care experience required
  • Experience using QuickMAR is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and medication-documentation skills
  • Ability to recognize and promptly report changes in a resident's condition
  • Dependable transportation and a record of punctual, consistent attendance
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience caring for individuals living with dementia is preferred
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
Responsibilities
  • Administer medications according to physician orders and community policies
  • Accurately document medication administration in QuickMAR
  • Maintain medication schedules and ensure medications are given on time
  • Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition
  • Promptly report medication concerns, refusals, errors, or changes in condition to the nurse or appropriate supervisor
  • Review medication records for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with medication inventory, storage, ordering, and disposal
  • Follow infection-control practices and medication-management procedures
  • Provide resident care and assistance with daily needs as required
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, caregivers, and other members of the care team
  • Help maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment

Position and Schedule

Position:
Full Time 7am-7pm Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on the schedule.

Consistent attendance, punctuality, and careful medication administration are essential requirements of this position.
