Licensed Practical Nurse

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to support patient-centered care in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will perform clinical tasks including rooming patients, obtaining vitals, administering medications and injections under supervision, assisting with procedures, coordinating scheduling, and updating the EHR. Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, histories, and medication lists
• Prepare patients and exam rooms for procedures and provider visits
• Administer medications and injections per provider orders and scope of practice
• Assist with minor clinical procedures and specimen collection, including phlebotomy
• Document accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, and patient follow-up
• Reinforce patient education, discharge instructions, and care plans
• Maintain infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
• Support providers and nurses in a collaborative team-based environment
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities
