American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2 years of ER experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

• Emergency Department setting, General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pediatric and Non-Trauma ER
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7p-7a)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope to like units/sister facilities required
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed

• Active SC RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC, NRP
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
  
  Experience with pediatric and adult ER patient populations, including abdominal pain, asthma, burns, head injury, seizures, and behavioral health conditions
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and blood product administration preferred
• Experience managing emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
• Triage and isolation precautions/PPE experience required
• Splinting and orthopedic care skills preferred
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

• Deliver emergency care across a broad range of adult and pediatric conditions, including trauma, respiratory, neurological, and behavioral health cases
• Perform triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response interventions
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Must reside within 60 miles for local candidate consideration, though non-local candidates are prioritized
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position
• All requested RTO must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November, peak August–September)
• No cost parking available on-site
