American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring 2 years of recent CVICU experience and SC or compact RN licensure.
Requirements- Active SC or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Associate degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor's degree preferred - Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care
- Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
- Experience with post cardiac surgery care, IABP, CABG, TAVR, and valve repair/replacement
- Experience managing dysrhythmias, cardiac monitoring, and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and acute/chronic renal failure care
- 13-week assignment in the CVICU
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required based on census needs
- Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients, including those recovering from cardiac surgery and interventions
- Green scrubs required
- Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
- Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
- Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible for travel assignments system-wide
- Candidates 90-99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced bill rate
