You will practice high-quality, comprehensive small animal medicine every day. Our services span wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, and surgical procedures, allowing you to manage complex cases from start to finish. We are equipped to handle emergency care as well as routine dentistry and soft-tissue surgery. If you encounter a challenging case, you have direct access to internal resources and specialty knowledge through our network, ensuring that you always feel supported in delivering exceptional care to our patients.

Southside Animal Hospital is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant to join our friendly, team-oriented practice! We are a busy, 6-doctor hospital dedicated to providing high-quality care and compassionate service to our patients and clients.

Cross-training opportunities throughout the hospital

Assist doctors and technicians with surgical preparation and anesthetic monitoring

Triage patients and assist with appointments

Administer and understand vaccination protocols

Distinguish between core and lifestyle vaccines

Educate clients on preventatives and wellness care

Venipuncture (preferred but not required)

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment

$15 - 18 per hour, based on experience

Prior veterinary experience preferred

Strong communication skills and client education ability

Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Detail-oriented and dependable
