Pharmacy Technician
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Accurately and efficiently prepare orders, pack and ship patient medications and supplies following Coram CVS Specialty Policies and Procedures.
- Stock packing and shipping materials to ensure orders can be properly packed and shipped.
- Select cost‑effective shipping methods that meet patient needs and temperature/packing requirements for medication quality and sustainability.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, well‑organized, and clean work environment.
- Coordinate shipment schedules with pharmacy, nursing, and other internal departments.
- Perform data entry of patient shipment activities in the company’s operating systems for patient care, inventory management, or equipment management.
- Assist with inventory management, receiving, and restocking in an organized manner and process returned equipment.
- Accurately put away medication orders in assigned placement areas to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient order fulfillment.
- Document inventory and equipment transactions accurately through data entry.
- Minimum of high school education or equivalent.
- Pharmacy Tech or Tech Trainee Certification, registration, or licensure required; must be obtained in accordance with state or federal requirements.
- Minimum six months work experience in a pharmacy, distribution, or warehouse work environment.
- Ability to obtain a tech trainee or Pharmacy Tech certification as required by state regulations.
- Six months working knowledge with computers, including basic Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

- Effective verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
- Basic math skills for weighing, measuring, calculating dosages, and converting units.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational and prioritization skills for a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional maturity within a team setting.
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Typing skills and ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and stand on feet throughout the shift.
- Positive adaptability to change and willingness to cross‑train in multiple areas.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record if making deliveries.
This position requires lifting between 30–50 lbs., continuous standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift. It may involve exposure to hazardous materials, necessitating compliance with PPE protocols.
Work EnvironmentThe warehouse may be licensed in some states by the State Board of Pharmacy, requiring security or pharmacy restrictions, including the necessity of pharmacy technician licensure to handle prescription medications.
Anticipated Weekly Hours40 hours per week.
Pay RangeTypical pay range: $17.00–$25.65 per hour. The actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
