Role Purpose

The Senior Manager, Quality is a pivotal, hands‑on leader at our Columbia brewery, responsible for owning site‑wide quality and food safety programs while building a strong, sustainable quality culture. This role blends strategic leadership with day‑to‑day execution, partnering closely with Operations, Brewing, and Corporate Quality to ensure products, processes, and people consistently meet the highest standards. As a trusted site leader, you will develop and coach a high‑performing quality team, embed food safety and compliance into daily operations, drive audit readiness and continuous improvement, and influence business outcomes through data‑driven decisions, collaboration, and strong people leadership.

Lead

Quality & Food Safety
  • Own site‑wide quality and food safety programs, including Food Safety, GMP, GLP, housekeeping, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure quality systems are implemented, validated, and consistently executed across all areas of the brewery.
  • Represent brewery quality for internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and partners.
Develop People & Culture
  • Lead, coach, and develop high‑performing quality teams, building capability, accountability, and future leaders.
  • Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement through engagement, training, and clear expectations.
  • Work closely with peer quality leaders and corporate partners to drive alignment and shared success.
Drive Operational Excellence
  • Oversee daily quality routines, KPI reporting, and performance management aligned to Annual Operating Plans/Hoshin objectives.
  • Lead root cause analyses, risk mitigation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the broader copacking network through routine quality testing, validations, and system alignment.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Food Science, or similar).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance / Food Safety within regulated manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, developing and coaching teams.
  • Hands‑on experience in fast‑paced, high‑pressure manufacturing environments.
  • Food Safety certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, SQF, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of FDA, TTB, FSMA, or similar regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of QA laboratory operations and beverage manufacturing protocols.
  • Strategic yet practical leadership style — comfortable in both the lab and the boardroom.
  • Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally and influence without authority.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement, people development, and long‑term business impact.
Working Conditions
  • Fast‑paced and constantly changing work environment.
  • Typical working hours, with the ability to flex hours as needed to support business operations
  • Ability to lift/push/pull/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/move 8-12 hours per day.
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs/ladders throughout shift.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including (but not limited to) bump cap, safety steel toe shoes, safety glasses, dust masks or PAPRs.
  • Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
