Ready Mix Concrete Testing Technician (Quality Assurance)

Port City Concrete is a well established and growing company in Charleston and greater Charleston. Our team comprises several Quality Assurance Technicians and is outfitted with a fully functioning laboratory. This position will come with a company vehicle, phone, and fuel card. All necessary devices and training will be provided.

• Perform quality checks on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products using precision measuring instruments.
• Collect and analyze data to identify trends or deviations from quality standards.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with product specifications and industry regulations.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.

• Proficient in using slump cone, roll-a-meter, and other ASTM instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
• Familiarity with data collection and analysis techniques.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Experience in a concrete ready mix manufacturing or production environment is preferred. Pay rate is based on experience—minimum of one year experience in the concrete ready mix or related industry.
