Quality Control; QC Specialist

Overview

Client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Specialist to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring that our projects consistently meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The QC Specialist will be responsible for performing on-site inspections, identifying deficiencies, and supporting field teams through training and feedback. The position requires frequent travel and regular physical entry into attics and crawl spaces to verify the quality of work behind installers.

Overnight stays may be required depending on project location.

• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct detailed inspections at job sites to ensure installations meet quality standards and industry guidelines. Enter attics, crawl spaces, and other confined or elevated areas to inspect completed work behind installers. Identify deficiencies and provide immediate, actionable feedback to installation teams. Ensure full compliance with company policies, client expectations, and safety regulations.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, including written reports, photos, and corrective actions taken. Track and analyze quality performance metrics; submit reports to management for review. Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of quality control protocols.
• Training and Support: Provide on-site coaching and feedback to field staff to promote continuous improvement. Collaborate with teams to resolve recurring quality issues and recommend preventive solutions. Act as a resource for best practices and industry standards.
• Travel and Field Work: Frequently travel to job sites across North Carolina and South Carolina. Must be willing and able to stay overnight when required by project demands. Perform inspections in physically demanding environments, including attics and crawl spaces.

• Experience: 3+ years in insulation installation, construction, or a similar field preferred. Prior experience in quality control or site inspections is highly valued.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot quality issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with field teams and management.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Certifications in quality control, OSHA safety, or construction management are a plus.

• Must complete background and drug screen
• Flexibility to work variable hours as needed
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and enter confined or elevated spaces
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions and diverse jobsite environments
• Willing to travel and stay overnight throughout NC and SC during the week when required
