Job Summary

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering within the College of Engineering and Computing seeks a Post-Doctoral Fellow to assist Professor Valafar, Associate Chair of Research and Associate Infrastructure Director, in completing the objectives of the Bioinformatics Core in the context of the INBRE project. This includes analysis of genomic data, development of analysis pipelines, maintenance of genomic data, and design and delivery of short courses focused on Bioinformatics topics.

• Perform bioinformatics data analyses (30% of time).
• Conduct bioinformatics research and development.
• Develop and deliver bioinformatics-related curricula and workshops (20% of time).
• Conduct independent research and display professional growth.

PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.

• Full time, 37.5 hours per week.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Scheduled start date:
  March 1, 2021.
