Location: Columbia
Research Specialist (Akazawa)
Position: Research Specialist I – Full Time, 37.5 hours per week.
Schedule: Standard working schedule: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
Salary: $17.00 per hour.
Location: Columbia, College of Arts and Sciences, CAS Biological Sciences.
Responsibilities: This position involves both fieldwork and laboratory work, supporting research activities such as data collection, sampling, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in moth identification and specimen preparation. Field duties include setting and monitoring traps, collecting specimens, and recording environmental data. Lab responsibilities include sorting, identifying, and preparing specimens for further analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology (or related field).
- Experience with moth collection.
