Job Summary
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the College of Engineering and Computing seeks to fill the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow. The primary purpose of this position is to assist Professor Valafar, Associate Chair of Research and Associate Infrastructure Director, in completing the objectives of the Bioinformatics Core in the context of the INBRE project. Tasks include sequencing and analysis of genomic data, development of analysis pipelines, maintenance of genomic data, and design and delivery of short courses focused on bioinformatics topics.
Qualifications- PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, or any related field.
- Perform bioinformatics data analyses (30% of time).
- Conduct bioinformatics research and development (30% of time).
- Develop and deliver bioinformatics related curricula and workshops (20% of time).
