Position Description

Advertised Job Summary The University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville is seeking to hire a Research Biostatistician. This position provides entry-level statistical and methodological support for clinical, educational, population health, and quality improvement research projects. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Research , the Research Biostatistician collaborates with investigators throughout the research process, including study design, data management, statistical analysis, interpretation of findings, and dissemination of results.

The Research Biostatistician will contribute to educational initiatives that strengthen research skills among trainees and faculty.

Job Related Minimum Required

Education and Experience

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of statistical principles and quantitative research methods.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data accurately and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to collaboration, service, and continuous professional development.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and statistical software.
