Job Summary
The Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining product availability, merchandising displays, and inventory presentation across assigned retail locations. This role ensures products are properly stocked, rotated, and displayed while building positive relationships with store personnel and supporting sales initiatives. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and able to work independently while representing the company in a professional manner.
Job Responsibilities- Merchandise products at assigned retail locations according to company standards.
- Maintain appropriate product inventory levels by stocking, rotating, and organizing merchandise.
- Rotate products to ensure compliance with product freshness and inventory standards.
- Inspect displays and equipment to ensure they are clean, properly maintained, and presented professionally.
- Execute merchandising programs, promotional displays, and company merchandising initiatives.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate out-of-stock, damaged, expired, or discontinued products to the appropriate sales representative.
- Identify opportunities to improve product placement, display space, and sales within assigned accounts.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with retail managers and store personnel.
- Observe competitor merchandising activities and communicate relevant market information to the sales team.
- Support sales initiatives by assisting with display installations and promotional programs.
- Maintain required records in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Operate a personal vehicle to travel between assigned retail locations.
- Represent the company professionally while providing outstanding customer service.
- Collaborate with team members to support organizational goals and share best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle available for business use with the required minimum insurance coverage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Basic sales and merchandising experience preferred.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency using smartphone technology and mobile applications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift, carry, stock, and move merchandise throughout the workday.
- Ability to travel between multiple retail locations.
- Fluency in English.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous merchandising, retail, customer service, sales support, or inventory experience preferred.
- Experience working in consumer products, beverage, grocery, or retail environments is a plus.
