Retail Operations Team Member

Overview

Enmarket is a leading retailer of fresh food and healthy snack choices, operating 128 locations across Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The company is seeking friendly, customer‑service oriented individuals to join its retail team.

• Work a flexible schedule to cover shift requirements.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with management regarding store operations and any changes that affect the store.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Prepare a shift report at the end of each shift in accordance with company guidelines.
• Provide the best customer experience, greeting each customer with a smile and courteous welcome.
• Suggest possible purchases and promote specials.
• Assume full responsibility for the execution of the customer‑service program at the store.
• Minimize safety risks to employees, customers, and suppliers by enforcing environmental and hazardous material regulations.
• Maintain safety and security of the store; document any accidents or incidents that occur.
• Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses promptly.
• Complete the new‑employee safety orientation procedure.

• Read, understand, and write the English language at an eighth‑grade level.
• Perform arithmetic calculations at an eighth‑grade level to make change, complete shift reports, and account for products during vendor check‑in.
• Validate identification before selling tobacco and/or alcohol in accordance with regulations.
• Be able to lift up to 30 pounds and carry cases of milk cartons and soft drinks, beer, and juice containers using proper lifting techniques.
• Remain calm and respond according to policies and procedures in any emergency.
• Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Work in various temperature environments (coolers, outdoor weather conditions, and the store).
• Perform general housekeeping duties as needed.
• Be at least 18 years of age.

• Lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Traversing and accessing all areas of the store.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods standing.
