Store Manager, Retail & Store Manager

The Store Manager oversees all store operations, including staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service, ensuring efficient and profitable store performance.

• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees; ensure proper staffing levels and compliance with labor laws.
• Provide performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and manage employee development and discipline.
• Manage store opening and closing, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, control expenses, and improve sales and profitability.
• Order merchandise to meet stock targets; oversee inventory accuracy, damages, and markdowns.
• Ensure merchandise presentation aligns with company standards, including signage and pricing.
• Maintain cash handling integrity, security, and safety procedures; oversee cashier accountability.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a positive shopping experience.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and complete all required documentation accurately.

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing staff, with legal compliance awareness.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, lifting up to 55 pounds, and moving merchandise.
• Preferably, a high school diploma or equivalent and management experience in retail.
