JOBSUMMARY
The VP Distribution Sales is responsible for driving all sales activities across all our client's Identity and Protective Systems product lines with emphasis on growth and profitability. They will provide strategic vision and guidance to support growth across all teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- With sale leadership, develop a strategic direction, vision, and insights to reach growth goals in each respective product line
- Participate in strategic planning activities including annual sales budget, sales compensation, territory analysis/development and territory business planning
- Responsible for all sales activities, management, and evaluation of our client's Distribution network
- Evaluate and approve large bids/quotes to ensure competitive margins
- Continued assessment of the competitive landscape, new technologies, and economic factors to ensure we have the right relationships and that the strategic plan can be achieved
- Set performance expectations for your team
- Foster relationships with our internal and external stakeholders including customers, distribution partners and suppliers
- Represent our client at various industry events
- Continuous evaluation of the structure, people, and processes for scalable growth
- Ensure cross functional organizational collaboration and alignment
- Maintain and grow a culture aligned with our Core Beliefs
- Ability to embrace a team selling culture using a solution/consultative selling approach
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred, with accumulated years of experience taken into consideration
- Direct sales experience within the First Responder Industry
- Ability to build close connections with end-users and with our client's distribution channels and supply chain partners
- Excellent interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and customer relations skills
- Working knowledge of CRM software
- Technical skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic email and smartphone
- Strong negotiation and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Demonstrated track record of sales results and territory growth
- Must be able to deliver impactful and concise presentations and demonstrations to large groups
- Proven leadership skills as a sales support and business development resource
- Strong understanding of business acumen and budgeting/ forecasting processes required
- Frequently travel is outside the employee's local area and overnight.
- Highly flexible and able to react constructively and with a positive attitude to multiple demands, shifting priorities, change and unexpected events.
- May be required at times to perform light lifting and carrying (30 lbs) and up to 8 hours a day on standing/walking/ driving.
