Compensation Details: $500.00 per week, plus a 6% commission on all sales generated.

Job Overview

The HVAC Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue by building strong customer relationships and managing the full sales cycle—from initial lead to close—across residential and light commercial customers in the Charleston region.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect, meet with, and sell HVAC solutions to residential and light commercial customers at their homes or businesses.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, appointments, estimates, and closing.
  • Follow up on leads via phone, text, and email to drive conversion.
  • Generate new business through marketing efforts, referrals, and lead sources.
  • Consult with customers to recommend customized HVAC systems and maintenance plans.
  • Prepare accurate estimates using company tools and vendor pricing.
  • Present multiple solution options to meet customer needs and budget.
  • Overcome objections and confidently close sales.
  • Educate customers on available rebates, incentives, and energy‑efficient options.
  • Ensure a strong customer experience from initial contact through post‑sale follow‑up.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and nurture repeat business.
  • Participate in sales meetings, events, and other company initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of successful HVAC outside sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, products, and solutions.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Customer‑focused with the ability to adapt to different personalities.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple opportunities at once.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to appointments.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Other Requirements
  • Willingness to learn local permitting requirements and rebate programs.
  • Comfortable working in a competitive, goal‑driven environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach as needed.
  • Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment.
  • Effective communication (talk and hear).
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally outside the area as needed.
