Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Sales Manager – Power

Wave2 in Hodges, SC. Relocation assistance and sponsorship are offered to eligible candidates residing in the United States.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $130,000 - $190,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salary information is a general guideline; actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Busway business is experiencing significant growth, and the Sales Manager – Power Wave 2 will lead efforts to capitalize on this growth by driving profitable sales, market penetration, customer engagement, and competitive positioning for the Power Wave 2 product line. The role leads major commercial opportunities from early engagement through quotation, negotiation, and order capture, while ensuring alignment across sales, engineering, operations, and product leadership.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial strategy and execution for the Power Wave 2 business to achieve sales growth, price realization, product mix, and profitability objectives.
  • Drive growth across key customers, channels, and target verticals by identifying high-value opportunities and converting them into profitable business.
  • Own major quotations, pricing strategy, commercial clarifications, and negotiation support to improve win rate and business quality.
  • Drive sales attainment, schedule loading, and profitability for Power Wave 2 and Non‑Seg busway products.
  • Partner closely with engineering and technical resources to develop commercially effective and technically sound customer solutions.
  • Work with the Product Manager to improve and optimize the product offering, align commercial priorities, and strengthen go‑to‑market strategy.
  • Support field sales through customer presentations, technical‑commercial guidance, competitive positioning, proposal support, and training.
  • Maintain awareness of market conditions, competitor activity, customer trends, and channel dynamics to enhance Eaton’s commercial strategy.
  • Lead customer and channel discussions on value proposition, application fit, delivery expectations, and differentiation versus competitors.
  • Drive responsiveness and cross‑functional alignment on key opportunities to improve quotation turnaround, customer experience, and execution.
  • Participate in customer meetings, project reviews, witness tests, and issue‑resolution discussions as needed.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Sales Engineer to improve technical sales execution and customer responsiveness.
  • Travel as needed to support strategic customer relationships and field engagement.
Qualifications
Required (Basic)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the electrical industry, engineering, sales, sales support, marketing, or product management involving technical products.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Seven (7) years of experience in the electrical industry, engineering, sales, sales support, marketing, or product management involving technical products.
  • Prior electrical industry and technical product experience strongly preferred.
Soft Skills & Skills
  • Strong customer‑facing experience in technical sales, product/application support, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Experience with power distribution products, engineered assemblies, or complex technical quotations and negotiations.
  • Experience working with tools such as Bid Manager, Mentor, Sales Reporting, and VISTA.
  • Experience developing growth strategies through channel partners, field sales teams, and strategic customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial judgment with proven pricing and negotiation capability.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate both technical and commercial concepts to customers and sales teams effectively.
  • Strong customer focus and consultative selling capability.
  • Strong business acumen, market awareness, and competitive mindset.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and drive action in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop others in support of business objectives.
