Job Description

We are developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, personalized treatments. Our Cardiovascular team delivers leading solutions for heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke. You will join a proud heritage of elevating standards of care for stroke, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation patients.

Field‑Based Role

This position is available throughout South Carolina and the United States. While specific cities are listed for reference, candidates may apply from any location.

Recruitment Priorities

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Drive distribution and utilization of the Impella 5.5 (left‑sided treatment)
  • Manage EXCEL sites and clinicals on new surgery, heart failure, and ECMO technologies
  • Collaborate within the area to achieve quarter‑over‑quarter growth
  • Promote excitement and vision of heart‑recovery solutions with existing devices and future technologies
  • Primary contact(s):
    Cardiac Surgeons, Heart Failure Cardiologists, "Heart Team" (interventional cardiologists, intensivists, & perfusionists)
  • Staff major conferences: HFSA, AHA, STS, AATS, and ISHLT
  • Organize local heart‑failure symposiums
  • Build a surgical vertical within established Impella programs – full product portfolio
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of experience in cardiac surgery and/or combined cardiology medical‑device sales for the Surgical Account Manager level

OR

  • 5+ years of experience in cardiac surgery and/or combined cardiology medical‑device clinical or sales for the Associate Account Manager level
  • Proven track record of selling in an operating room
  • Strong leadership and team–motivation skills to achieve quotas
  • In‑depth knowledge of cardiac surgery and structural heart anatomy
  • Extensive network of Cardiac Surgeons across the region
  • Track record of technology adoption and market development
  • Direct patient‑support experience
  • Ability to drive patient outcomes
  • Travel 50–75% overnight required
  • Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical‑device industry
Compensation and Incentives

The Company offers a highly competitive sales‑incentive compensation program. This position is eligible to participate in the program per applicable terms and may also be eligible for a car allowance through the Company’s Fleet program.
