Location: Columbia

Senior Oncology Account Manager

The Senior Oncology Account Manager is responsible for direct promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals' products and for developing and managing business relationships with therapeutic specialists within an assigned geographic territory (Georgia and South Carolina). The position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities Strategic Account Management
  • Possess strong sales analytics capabilities with a demonstrated understanding of prescribing and purchasing decision processes, including differences from national trends.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of internal customer business models and external reimbursement landscape and payer issues to develop annual territory business plans.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand the specific needs and requirements of each customer or account.
  • Identify key stakeholders within each account and understand their roles, priorities, motivations and patient needs.
  • Leverage resources such as dashboards, alerts, omnichannel reports, speaker programs and conference attendance.
  • Provide timely feedback to cross‑functional partners and the regional sales manager regarding account trends, changes in the therapeutic landscape, performance and new opportunities.
Strategic Planning
  • Define clear, measurable objectives aligned with company goals and customer needs.
  • Develop tailored strategies and tactics for each customer.
  • Determine required resources and continuously review and adjust the account plan.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (marketing, medical affairs, market access) to align and execute account strategies.
  • Work with customer‑facing colleagues to ensure functional tactical objectives are met.
  • Adapt plans in response to changes in the work environment or market conditions.
Teamwork & Collaboration
  • Maintain an enterprise mindset and collaborate across functions to maximize customer engagement.
  • Leverage partnerships with marketing, medical affairs and market access to advance business unit interests.
  • Share insights and best practices across the team.
  • Act as the main point of contact for designated accounts and coordinate resources.
Selling Effectiveness
  • Promote Jazz Oncology products to physicians and healthcare providers in community and academic settings.
  • Adopt a network‑selling mindset to broaden connections across accounts.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape and clinical developments.
  • Adapt quickly to new tools and resources and leverage analytics for insights.
  • Build strong relationships with key physicians and organizations within the territory.
Product and Scientific Knowledge
  • Demonstrate superior communication, education and consulting skills in neuro‑oncology.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on Jazz products, approved indications and current disease focuses.
  • Provide accurate clinical information and answer questions within regulatory constraints.
  • Challenge prescribers appropriately regarding treatment decisions.
Execution
  • Deliver commercial sales results by meeting or exceeding expectations in a compliant manner.
  • Organize and facilitate medical and product information meetings in line with policies and regulations.
  • Represent the company at conferences and training events.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage interactions, track activities and maintain territory records.
  • Ensure all activities align with Jazz's ethical marketing policies.
  • Complete special projects and comply with all legal, regulatory and budgetary requirements.
Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • A four‑year college or university degree.
  • Minimum five years of experience in the oncology market.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective presentation style.
  • Ability to meet territorial travel requirements.
Preferred Experience
  • Post‑graduate business school study or training.
  • Strong clinical, technical and scientific knowledge of relevant products.
  • Strategic thinker capable of driving a strategic account business plan.
  • Experience with key account management in complex academic and community accounts.
  • Business acumen, problem‑solving, prioritization, account management and sales analytics skills.
