Senior Oncology Specialist
Territory covers:
Charleston, Columbia, Augusta, Athens, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head.
Relocation not offered for this role.
Responsibilities- Act as primary customer contact to provide comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following-up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Use internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Develop effective marketing strategies to drive sales.
- Analyze sales activities and territory effectiveness; collaborate with District Manager to develop territory plans.
- Maintain passion for products and build brand while serving patients.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and pursue continuous learning.
- Leverage disease‑state awareness and market changes to deliver agreed results.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related;
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related;
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.
- Experience in oncology.
- Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Planning and Organizing.
- Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge.
- Communicating with Impact.
- Driving for Results.
- Cultivating Internal and External Relationships.
Expected annual salary range: $140,465 to $190,041 (U.S., excluding Puerto Rico).
