Overview

Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned existing customers within an industry vertical.
  • Expand existing customer relationships and identify cross- and upselling potential.
  • Manage the complete sales process from needs analysis to contract closure.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, and Service teams to ensure customer success, identify opportunities to grow service sales (retrofits, relocations, consulting services, and aftermarket solutions).
  • Develop offers for customers with the goal to receive purchase orders, focusing on price setting and negotiation while considering legal and commercial factors.
  • Coordinate with Applications Engineer and negotiate change orders with Project Managers.
  • Maintain an understanding of customer manufacturing strategies, automation maturity, and competitive landscape.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally, escalating risks and opportunities early.
  • Build and execute multi-year account plans aligned with customer roadmaps and HAHN capabilities.
  • Drive qualified funnel creation within the existing account base and take ownership of leads from respective accounts.
  • Clarify needs, coordinate technically, and create quotes; ensure fast response times and professional initial contact.
  • Depending on seniority, handle responsibilities for defined strategic target customers and development of account strategies.
  • Proactively develop the market and build relationships; coordinate internal resources (Pre-Sales, Technical, Management).
  • Maintain and develop the account and opportunity pipeline in CRM; create revenue forecasts and sales reports.
  • Contribute to market and competitive analyses within the region and drive leads and opportunities through the L2Q process and quotation desk.
  • Travel as required, including potential domestic and international travel.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years in account management, technical sales, business development, or customer relationship management, preferably in automation, industrial equipment, capital equipment, or manufacturing.
  • Additional skills: Proven ability to grow existing customer accounts by identifying cross-selling, upselling, and service opportunities while meeting sales targets and maintaining integrity and urgency.
  • Strong understanding of customer technical challenges and complex technical sales processes, including needs analysis, solution development, proposal creation, pricing, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with customers, executives, technical stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Strong business acumen to understand customer manufacturing processes, automation strategies, and capital investment plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales forecasting tools; commitment to accurate data management.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused professional with analytical and problem-solving skills; willing to travel as needed.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours to meet project requirements, including potential overtime/weekend hours.
