Science | Service | Sustainability
Under supervision from the Source Evaluation Section Manager, the Stack Test Specialist II will perform technical and professional duties related to implementing the state source evaluation program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review source specific test plans and monitoring plans to determine if they meet the standards established by State and Federal regulations and associated guidance documents. If appropriate, approve said test plans or coordinate activities with the regulated entity to obtain information necessary to make the plan approvable.
- Observe Department approved source tests and performance specification tests to ensure that tests are conducted in accordance with the approved test plan.
- Review source test reports and continuous monitor certifications for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to the Department approved test plan.
- Prepare source test summaries once results are accepted indicating, if appropriate, the compliance status of the facility as a result of the test.
- Ensure that all documents are properly prepared and that all phases of assigned projects are entered into data programs in a timely manner.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
- OR an associate degree in a related technical field and one (1) year of environmental health or related experience.
- OR a high school diploma and three (3) years of environmental health or related experience. Certification in the environmental field qualifies as related experience.
Degrees in a related technical field include, but are not limited to, Earth sciences, chemistry, biology, physics, soil science, environmental science, mathematics, etc.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Additional Requirements:
- Ability to use computers and data management software.

- Ability to read, comprehend, and correctly interpret complex technical documents and regulations.
