Security Officer Armed Entry Specialist – Columbia, SC. Position Type:
Part Time
. Pay Rate: $18.85 / Hour

• Mon: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
• Sat: 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials and authorizations, document visitor and vehicle activity, and help deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and report security‑related concerns.

• At least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed guard card and/or license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.
