As a Security Officer Armed
- Site Access in Effingham, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer patrolling an industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This role offers the chance to work with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, while putting people first and acting with integrity throughout every shift.

Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that could require attention.
• Support access control activities by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials when required, and documenting visitor and/or vendor activity.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal guidelines, using sound judgment during routine duties and/or response situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
