Job Summary

The Security Officer reports to the Director of Security and monitors and protects facilities, premises, employees, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities include responding to security calls within the medical center, conducting basic investigations, troubleshooting the electronic visitor management system, physically patrolling the perimeter of the medical center and parking lot, and communicating tactfully with the public. Shift work and occasional overtime are required.

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Must obtain and maintain International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) certification within the first year of employment.
  • One year of relevant experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Fire Service, Emergency Medical Service, Behavioral Health, Counselor, Education, or Military.
